"Winning Days" was the third and final single from the album of the same name by The Vines. It came out the same week as the Annandale Hotel incident took place in Sydney, in which Craig Nicholls assaulted a photographer, and charges were pressed.
Triple M also permanently banned The Vines from airplay on their network the same week, which resulted in the single having no radio backing at all in the wake of the national negative publicity created by Triple M during the days that followed. Despite its lack of commercial showing, the song is a firm fan favorite.
